Founded in 1972 by Joseph Casna Jr., Crystal Clear Pools started out installing above ground pools locally on the South Shore.  Expansion continued to include service, and eventually in 1974 to the installation of vinyl lined in-ground swimming pools throughout the entire South Shore region.  Incorporated on April 1, 1976, under the name of Crystal Construction Corporation, a license was obtained to operate Crystal Clear Pool Company as a subsidiary, setting the stage for further expansion.  In 1980, Crystal Clear Pools opened it’s first retail store, which is still located at the base of the Fore River Bridge in Quincy, Ma.  Offering a full line of BIOGUARD chemicals along with a wide range of parts and accessories, this store brought a strong physical presence of the company to the South Shore.

A mere six years later, construction began on what is now being referred to as “the best looking pool center on the South Shore” – the Kingston Display Center.  It is from this center that beats the heart of both Crystal Clear Pool Stores and Crystal Construction Corporation.  With a diverse retail store located on the first floor, an in-ground display pool in the yard, and a corporate headquarters and sales office located on the second floor, this location has proven to be a beehive of activity throughout the years.  With the addition of construction yard on the property located behind the center, all of Crystal’s activities are literally under one roof.

In the spring of 2000, Crystal Clear Pools became an authorized installer of San Juan fiberglass pools, installing our first fiberglass in August of 2000 on beautiful Martha’s Vineyard.  Over the past 10 years, we have put in over 200 fiberglass pools in the ground.  With so many appealing sizes and shapes to choose from and lower maintenance cost of the years, we are sure interest and purchases of fiberglass pools will continue to grow.

Over the past 38 years, our areas of expertise have expanded from swimming pools to areas such as septic installations, site work, and house foundations.  Crystal Construction Corporation has worked up an impressive portfolio of major commercial work and smaller residential jobs, gaining experience and adaptability in different phases of construction.  With this diversity, we are able to work all year long making us available to our customers whenever we are needed.  This allows us to have a lower turnover rate among our employees as steady work is available to them each season.
